Nduja is cured spreadable Calabrian salami, with herbs, salt and naturally lots of chilli pepper. Bright red in colour with a fiery taste, this ‘Nduja is the real thing, made in Spilinga in the province of Vibo Valentia, the birthplace of this delicacy. Spread it on bread or bruschetta – it’s even better if warmed up first.
Nduja also gives an incredible flavour when you add it to a ‘soffritto’ (lightly fried onions celery and carrot) as the basis of a tomato sauce for pasta or just on its own with the addition of a little of the pasta water. Delicious too on a pizza or alongside medium seasoned cheeses.
ThisNduja is made following a traditional Calabrian recipe and naturally contains no additives, preservatives or colourants.
